First impressions of the auto show: marvel at China’s automotive innovations
Recently, American auto review blogger Royson organized a unique tour, bringing 15 fans from countries including Australia, the United States, Canada, and Egypt to experience China’s new energy vehicles. The first stop on the three-day trip was the Shanghai Auto Show. There, the fans witnessed several major debut models from Chinese automakers and were captivated by their impressive designs and advanced technologies.
At the auto show, Roizen, using his unique perspective as a “foreigner reviewing cars,” introduced the development history and future trends of China’s new energy vehicles to fans. Many fans, having already gained a preliminary understanding of China’s new energy vehicles from watching Roizen’s previous videos, were still deeply impressed by their own experiences. Ken Barber from Australia exclaimed, “Wow! Chinese cars are amazing!” This admiration for Chinese cars marked the opening of the event.
Self-driving tour experience: experience the driving charm of Chinese cars firsthand
After the thrill of the auto show, fans enjoyed a road trip. A small convoy of six new energy vehicles from various brands set off for Hangzhou, ultimately arriving at the picturesque Moganshan Mountains. Roizen explained the Yangtze River Delta region’s well-developed transportation network and comprehensive road infrastructure, making short trips as convenient as visiting neighbors.
During the drive, fans shared their opinions. Jacek Keim from Canada said, “I think this car has plenty of power and accelerates quickly!” while Ken Barber from Australia commented, “Although it’s large, it’s very maneuverable.” During their drive, fans experienced the powerful power and nimble handling of Chinese new energy vehicles and expressed surprise at their performance.
Michael Kasabov, an American tourist, was even more excited, saying, “China’s electric vehicles are developing at such a rapid pace. It’s like living in the future. I love it!” Adam Sousa, an Egyptian kid who can’t drive, praised the comfort he felt inside the car, saying, “The interior and acceleration performance of Chinese electric cars are comparable to many luxury sports cars. This trip was fantastic!”
Cultural exchange: Foreigners are becoming fans of China
During this event, overseas fans, in addition to their admiration for new energy vehicles, were also deeply impressed by China’s cultural landscape. Ken Barber, visiting China for the fifth time, lamented, “China has achieved tremendous development in such a short period of time.” His words echoed the sentiments of many of his fellow travelers.
Fans praised China’s widespread availability of charging stations and its fast and convenient electronic payment system, but were even more moved by the Chinese people’s warm hospitality. Stephen Harper from Australia said, “Every Chinese person is very hospitable. They greet strangers warmly when they meet them on the street. I highly recommend visiting China; it’s very safe and comfortable here!”
Roizen said he will expand this activity to more cities this year, including Chengdu and Guangzhou. He hopes that through his own review videos, he can open a window for overseas audiences to see the rapid development of the Chinese auto market and the unique charm of Chinese culture.
Through this event, overseas fans not only experienced the superior performance of Chinese new energy vehicles, but also deepened their understanding and identification with Chinese culture. With the continuous development of China’s auto industry, more and more overseas friends will become fans of Chinese cars in the future.
